The Heart of Frida Benefit raised 850,000 pesos for The Rapid Response System of the San Miguel Red Cross

This world premiere exhibition of The Heart of Frida was dedicated to the San Miguel Red Cross (Cruz Roja de San Miguel de Allende).

The San Miguel Red Cross has been saving lives in our community for 26 years.

The San Miguel Red Cross operates the Rapid Response System for our community, which has over 120,000 citizens in a 100 square mile area.

Local services are rendered at no cost to the person served.

In 2006, Cruz Roja responded to 4,200 calls for medical or other emergencies. On average, a Cruz Roja ambulance and its expert paramedics are called out every two hours, every day of every week, to rescue the injured in automobile accidents as well as to respond to home and business and public emergencies. When there is a heart attack, the Red Cross responds. When there are injuries from a crash, the Red Cross responds: 16 trained paramedics, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.

The Heart of Frida Exhibition helped to raised 850,000 pesos for Cruz Roja de San Miguel de Allende.
